Violin and piano lessons in home studio and online.
Individual lessons at Berfin’s home studio in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, or online. The studio address is shared after a lesson is arranged.
How it works
- ⟁Violin and piano. Music theory is woven into instrumental lessons, up to Grade 5 theory when needed.
- ⟁30, 45 or 60 minutes.
- ⟁New students begin with a paid trial lesson. It is a real lesson, not an audition.
- ⟁Fees are available upon request, after a short conversation about instrument, length and goals.
Children
From age five. Lessons follow the child’s energy and attention, with clear practice at home and no unnecessary pressure. Families looking for regular, structured training — including exam pathways — are welcome.
Young musicians
Students who already play and want to go further: technique, sound, repertoire, and ABRSM or Trinity preparation. Teaching is demanding where it needs to be, and specific.
Adults
Adults returning after a gap or beginning an instrument for the first time. And adults who want exam structure later in life or pursue as a hobby. Grade level is not a prerequisite.
Exams
ABRSM and Trinity. Violin from first lessons up to Grade 8 and further advanced study. Piano from beginner through Grade 3 to date, with theory to Grade 5.
Where
In person in Hitchin, for students who can travel from across Hertfordshire and London. Online across the UK and all over the world, often chosen by intermediate and advanced students, including those preparing for exams.
